1 lbs Ground Chuck or Ground Sirloin (Soy Protein is a good vegan alternative, as is crumbled cauliflower)

1 Yellow Onion

1 tbsp Olive Oil (or oil of your choice)

1 Clove Garlic (1 Tsp minced garlic works too)

2 Cans Kidney Beans (1 light and 1 dark for fun)

1 Can Condensed Tomato Soup

1 Can Fire Roasted Tomato’s

1 Tbsp Chili Powder (or to taste)

Pinch of Cayenne Pepper (or to taste)

Pinch of Salt (or to taste)

Pinch of Pepper (or to taste)

Chop onion and add to pre-heated saute pan with cooking oil, cooking until translucent. Add garlic and meat (or protein) and begin to brown. Once cooked (about 10 -12 minutes), add mixture to crockpot. Add the rest of the ingredients in any order, mix and set to desired cook time.

Kubik Tip: We usually cook the protein the day before, substituting onion powder (a pinch) because Peyton doesn’t like onions. We add the ingredients to the crockpot before we leave the house in the morning and set it to cook for between 8 and 10 hours. If we have time, we cook some cornbread and use it as a garnish.
